Beaches Community Garden celebrates one year by hosting its First Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday, November 21st from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The family friendly event will feature arts and crafts for children, scarecrow making contest, face painting, guided garden tours, food demonstrations inspired by what is growing in the garden, live music and more! Come join us in celebrating the beaches first organic community garden!

2:00 PM:  Festival starts!
2:30 PM:  Local resident, Patti, does an amazing Harvest Bread presentation-- to be cooked in the solar oven afterwards!
3:00 PM:  Local Chef, Sean Sigmon, cooks a delicious, healthy meal made from Green Market & Community Garden produce!

3:30 PM:  Solar Cooker Demonstration and Talk by Patricia Goelz

2:00-4:00 PM: Buy your raffle tickets!  Don't have to be present to win.
2:00-5:00 PM:  Music & Storytelling tent, Solar Oven Demonstrations, Guided Garden Tours, Snacks provided by Native Sun & Shakti Life Kitchen, Scarecrow Making, Face Painting, and Crafts!

Crafts include:  scarecrow making, leaf prints, pinecone birdfeeders, seeding activities, and weaving with all-natural materials... taught by 11-year-olds!

Raffle Items Include:  Salad Garden Tub, Canning Kit & locally canned treats, and Green Market Goodie Basket including local honey, handcrafted soaps, gift certificates, local organic hot sauce, BLFN eco-bag, gift certificates and more!
